This year you will have a chance to buy a special commemorative t-shirt for the evening. Many Scholars will come dressed for the occassion wearing this popular t-shirt. (Pictures on this web site contain shirts from previous years). T-Shirts will be shipped prior to the game so participants may wear them to the game. The cost of the t-shirt is $13.45.
Complete directions and instructions will be sent to you with your tickets (and t-shirt) if you choose to participate. Tickets will be mailed two weeks prior to the game. Make sure to submit your order form today so you can be a part of this fun and exciting event. There are a limited number of tickets available and past years' events have sold out!
To participate in the on-field appearance and to be eligible for the drawing for the special field ceremony, you must purchase your tickets through Illinois Young Scholars using the enclosed order form or at our website. Those who purchase tickets outside of Illinois Young Scholars will not be able to participate in the pre-game on-field activities. There is NO LIMIT to the number of tickets you may purchase while supplies last.
Tickets: $28 Upper Deck Reserve Seat.
(This is the same price as if you bought the ticket at the White Sox Box Office and cheaper than buying on-line due to the $4.75 surcharge added to
each ticket plus the $3.50 order processing fee). Including any shirts you may purchase, and regardless of the total number of tickets you buy,
you pay one flat $9 ticket-processing fee that includes shipping and handling.
Parents and children with a ticket purchased from Illinois Young Scholars will be permitted on the field for the Parade.

Take the lineup card to home plate.
A drawing will take place to select one Scholar for the chance of a lifetime: to walk with White Sox Manager Ozzie Guillen (or his designated
coach) to home plate to deliver the lineup card to the umpires and the opposing manager.

For those coming to Chicago from out of town, we offer you two choices for a hotel to meet your needs. We have contracted with two outstanding hotels and have received rates from both hotels that are incredible.

The Holiday Inn Select Naperville provides an alternative for families with a significantly lower cost at a great rate of $64 per night. (King Suites are available upon request for $94). The hotel features Free Internet, an indoor pool, workout room, restaurant and bar. It is located approximately 39 miles from the ballpark.
